Creativity

Creativity is an important human characteristic. It is perhaps best thought of as a process, requiring a mixture of ingredients, including personality traits, abilities and skills. Creativity is the freest form of self-expression. There is nothing more satisfying and full-filling for children than to be able to express themselves openly and without judgment.

To help our children become creative , ISPD foster their natural curiosity and sense of adventure. Children are like sponges that can absorb new information easily, and a child that is curious is going to go out of his way to learn new things. The more things that children find interesting, the easier it will be for them to make new connections between them and come up with new ideas.

The ability to be creative, to create something from personal feelings and experiences, can reflect and nurture children's emotional health. The experiences children have during their first years of life can significantly enhance the development of their creativity. Kids are natural innovators with powerful imaginations. And creativity offers a bounty of intellectual, emotional and even health benefits. The ISPD System in particular introduced a radically different way of teaching that doesn't give kids answers but rather demands high levels of critical thinking. "They have to use their own reasoning". "The thinking process is more important than having the right answer". Such practices create students who are not dependent on teachers and learn how to analyze, visualize, and make decision.

Ask your child open-ended questions to stretch their understanding and help them to postulate ideas.

People get mentally out of shape when they stop challenging their minds. This happens when they opt for habitual solution rather than a purposeful thought, or it they confine their thinking to a small range of interests .Remember that mental fitness - your child's ability to concentrate, to reason, to visualize, to imagine, to make decision, to solve problems and think creatively - depends greatly on how well and how often your child exercise his mind. He/ She needs to exercise all of his/her mental muscles in order to keep himself/herself mentally fit. Just like several body muscles work to create physical movement, several mental muscles work together to create clear, purposeful thinking.
